As we hopefully begin to see a respite from the dreary and rainy UK weather, the BMA team is gearing up for an exciting summer. Our events calendar is busier than ever, and I’m thrilled to extend a warm invitation to our members to attend our upcoming inaugural Charity Summer Social.
The date is set for the 3rd of July at the stunning Worsley Park in Manchester, and it will be a day to remember. I can tell you this isn't your average networking event or run-of-the-mill charity fundraiser. Oh no, we're bringing you a day packed with excitement, camaraderie, and a dash of healthy competition, all in the name of supporting a fantastic cause.
For all golf enthusiasts, picture this: 18 holes on one of the North West’s finest inland PGA Championship Courses. Majestic fairways, challenging bunkers, and breathtaking views await you. It's a golfer's paradise and the perfect opportunity to showcase your swing while connecting with industry peers.
But for those who believe golf is a good walk spoiled, we've got something special in store for you, too. We are introducing the Soapbox Derby Team-Building Event – a thrilling alternative that promises laughter, teamwork, and a whole lot of creativity.
For the soapbox derby, you and your team will need to compete in qualifiers, then dive headfirst into design workshops where you can unleash your inner engineer. The design possibilities are endless as you craft your very own soapbox racer. And trust me, creativity will be the name of the game here to manufacture designs that are nothing short of extraordinary.
It'll be time to unwind and indulge after a day filled with friendly rivalry and adrenaline-pumping action. Join us in the evening for a sumptuous four-course meal, where you can relish in good food, great company, and perhaps even a few tales from the day's adventures.

The Charity Summer Social is a chance for us to give back to the community, with proceeds going towards the incredible work of Band of Builders, a charity close to our hearts.
