The Peninsula London was modelled on the Palazzo Farnese in Rome by Hopkins Architects. The hotel has 190 rooms and suites, several fine-dining restaurants and a spacious, luxurious spa area.
The bathrooms exude the sophisticated flair of a grand hotel and boast a sleek aesthetic. Renowned architect Peter Marino opted for Dornbracht products to enhance his overall concept of a light-filled design. The interiors are inspired by the neighbouring heritage manor, Apsley House, and the fittings bring a touch of elegance to the hotel guest rooms, public washrooms, the spa, along with the prestigious addresses of some of The Peninsula London Apartments. Light-coloured onyx streaked with clay-coloured veins covers the walls, complemented by natural stone mosaic floors, large mirrors and chrome elements.
Pieces from the Madison, Meta, Lissé and Lulu collections enhance the spectrum of design feels, from the traditional, historic and nostalgic to the sleek, minimalist and contemporary. Touchfree sensor taps have been installed in the public washrooms and many of the fittings were made bespoke by Dornbracht to the hotel’s specification.
