TECE appoints Ashley Shires as UK managing director

Leading German manufacturer TECE has announced the appointment of Ashley Shires as its new UK managing director from the 21^st of September 2026. A highly regarded figure in the bathroom industry, Ashley brings more than 40 years’ experience to the company, with his most recent role as MD of SIAMP for 14 years. 

Ashley brings a wealth of expertise, along with a proven track record in commercial strategy, built over 4 decades of working with UK and international bathroom manufacturers. Ashley sid: “I am thrilled to be starting a new and exciting chapter with TECE, a leading specialist in the sanitary solutions and flushing technology sector. I look forward to drawing on my extensive experience to further strengthen and develop the TECE brand and its innovative product portfolio. He added: “It’s a great privilege to join an experienced and passionate team, building upon the strong foundations and together driving the continued long-term business growth.” As part of the new appointment, Russell Barnes, interim managing director of TECE will move into the role of head of sales and marketing, supporting the management and sales team with his in-depth industry knowledge.
