VADO's flush systems and frames 'help specifiers meet water efficiency requirements'

According to SES Water, the water supplier for Surrey, Kent and parts of London, toilet flushing accounts for 25% of the average person's daily water use in the UK, making it the second-largest household water use after showers, baths and sinks. British bathroom brand VADO says its concealed cisterns, pneumatic flush plates and WC frames are 'engineered to help specifiers and installers meet increasingly stringent water efficiency requirements, without compromising on design or ease of installation'.

VADO says its dual flush system offers the flexibility to reduce flush volumes from the standard 6/3 litres to 4/2.6 litres, giving specifiers an easy route to compliance with Part G of the UK building regulations.

Jordan Cook, head of product management at VADO, said: "Water regulations rightly continue to tighten, and specifiers need products that make compliance simple rather than something to work around. We designed our flush systems so reducing volume to meet Part G is a straightforward option, not a compromise on how the product looks or performs."

Switching to the reduced setting saves an average of 1.2 litres per flush; based on an average of 5 flushes per person per day, that's roughly 6 litres saved daily per person, around 2,190 litres a year, or close to 8,760 litres annually for a family of 4.

VADO backs the range with a 6-year guarantee, among the longest available on a concealed frame and cistern system, and installers can access on-demand how-to videos covering maintenance and installation via a QR code on the product documentation. Because the frames work with VADO's own WC pans, seats and flush plates, developers, retailers and specifiers have the option to source the full system from a single supplier, cutting down on the number of deliveries, contacts and purchase orders needed per project.
