LochAnna Kitchens’ Sinead Trainor on the brand’s 2024/25 collections

Sinead Trainor, kitchen category manager at LochAnna Kitchens, discusses the inspiration behind the brand’s latest collections and what they can offer independent retailers.

Q: Tell us about the new collections – what do they consist of?
A: Launched within our new brochure this June, LochAnna Kitchens' latest collection introduces 3 stunning new kitchen ranges: Rowan, Hutton, and Strato. Each range is distinct, inspired by the latest kitchen trends, and offers our customers an even broader spectrum of design possibilities for their clients. Rowan is a beautifully crafted narrow Shaker door with intricate square beading, bringing a timeless yet modern touch. Hutton is a budget-friendly in-frame effect kitchen that delivers the elegance of traditional in-frame designs without the higher price tag. Strato, already a customer favourite in our FORM range of handleless kitchens, is a Scandinavian-inspired slab door that features an array of oak veneer finishes with horizontal grain. We've also introduced new storage solutions like our Breakfast Dresser, Laundry Stacker Larder, and Over Counter Corner Housing, all designed to maximise space and functionality, while catering to the changing face of the modern kitchen.

Q: Why have you launched them now?
A: The new ranges provide consumers with fresh choices that reflect the very latest trends, while remaining affordable and maintaining the high-quality craftmanship we are known for as a brand. The ranges are a great addition to our already extensive mid-range offering, helping our independent partners stay competitive in the current market and beyond.

Q: How do they differ from previous collections?
A: At their core, the new ranges offer a real balance of classic and modern styling. The beauty of these ranges is in their versatility, and with our colour matching service, it’s easy to make any of the ranges bold and modern, or pared back and classic. Research from our sales data indicated an increasing interest in narrow Shaker and in-frame effect doors, which inspired the creation of these new ranges. Additionally, we’ve noted a trend toward warm, inviting tones, particularly greens, as consumers shift away from blue. In response, we’ve expanded our palette with shades like Reed Green, Moss Green, and Laurel Green, while warming our neutral offering with Taupe Grey, Steel Grey, and Beige Oak. The timing also coincides with a heightened focus on space optimisation, and our innovative storage solutions cater to the need for stylish, practical options in smaller spaces better than ever before. All of our new ranges also now come with soft close Blum hinges as standard.

Q: Are they in response to any particular trends?
A: Yes – we’ve responded to the growing demand for warm, earthy tones and natural textures being seen across kitchens and bathrooms all over social media with our expanded colour palette. The rising popularity of minimalism influenced the redesign of the Strato collection, which emphasises clean lines and natural materials. Additionally, our innovative storage solutions are a key selling point for our customers as they cater to the increasing desire for space optimisation and smart storage.

Q: What do they offer retailers and designers?
A: These options empower retailers and designers to meet various client needs by offering diverse, yet affordable and highly customisable kitchen designs, while the new additions to our storage portfolio expand our products into new areas of the home with space-efficient designs that increase appeal in the competitive kitchen market.

Q: What support is LochAnna Kitchens offering retailers with the latest collections?
A: We provide a comprehensive package of marketing and POS materials, including brochures, sample doors, colour swatches, and display units to help retailers effectively showcase the new ranges. Our team collaborates closely with each retailer to create optimal showroom displays that highlight the unique features of our products. Additionally, we offer digital support, including high-quality imagery and product descriptions, to streamline the integration of LochAnna products into online platforms.

Q: Are you currently looking to grow your retailer network?
A: Yes, we are actively expanding our network of independent retailers who share our commitment to high-quality, affordable kitchen solutions. LochAnna is designed to support independent dealers with a unique market position that distinguishes us from mainstream competitors. By partnering with us, retailers gain product exclusivity, innovative designs, and a tailored business model that ensures strong margins. We’re actively seeking new partners across the UK who want to grow their business with a British brand that understands the needs of independents

Q: How optimistic are you feeling about the market looking ahead?
A: We received immensely positive feedback after showcasing our designs at KBB Birmingham at the start of the year where we launched our premium collection, LochAnna Handmade. Demand for well-designed, functional, and affordable kitchens remains robust. Consumers are still significantly investing in their homes, choosing to improve rather than move. Our diverse range of styles, colours, and price points positions our independent partners to meet these evolving preferences effectively. Additionally, our commitment to R&D and flexible financing empowers them to compete with larger chains, ensuring their success in this dynamic market.
