Laufen Schweiz AG, part of the Roca Group (Laufen), has announced the acquisition of Antonio Lupi Design S.p.A. (antoniolupi), leading Italian company in high-end bathroom furnishings and a symbol of contemporary design excellence. This strategic move marks a new phase of growth for antoniolupi, aiming to expand its footprint in both national and international markets while preserving its distinctive identity, craftsmanship, and design philosophy that have made it a benchmark in its field.

Founded in 1950 in Tuscany, Antonio Lupi has earned a global reputation for quality and innovation. With 100 employees and over €42 million in turnover in 2024, the brand combines artisanal heritage with forward-looking creativity. Through this acquistion, Laufen says it's seeking to enhance antoniolupi's assets, supporting long-term sustainable development and innovation.

"My brothers and I are excited about this alliance. We are convinced that this operation represents not only a great strategic opportunity, but also a chance to expand both in Italy and abroad, bringing benefits to both companies and to our customers, while securing a strong future for the company," said Andrea Lupi, CEO of antoniolupi.

Albert Magrans, CEO of the Roca Group, commented: "By bringing together antoniolupi – a global leader in luxury bathroom design – and our premium brand Laufen, we are consolidating a strong position in the high-end market segment."

The management, structure and operations of antoniolupi will remain unchanged. Andrea, Nello and Patrizia Lupi will continue to lead the company, ensuring continuity of vision and direction. They said in a statement: "Laufen's entry is a recognition of our company's value and marks the beginning of a robust industrial alliance."

The integration will allow antoniolupi to access new markets, strengthen its global distribution network, and invest in R&D, while maintaining its stylistic DNA and strong ties to its local roots.

Ethica Group supported antoniolupi through its M&A advisory team, composed of Giorgio Carere, Nicoletta Rabiolo, and Lorenzo Berardicurti. Studio SR (Simone Sardelli) acted as tax advisor, while Legance (Giacomo Gitti and Antonio Garramone) provided legal counsel.
The Roca Group was assisted by Alantra and Baker McKenzie.
