Following the news of Homebase entering into administration, Magnet Kitchens – part of the Nobia group – has reached out to offer its support to those whose jobs are currently at risk.
Having launched its store manager recruitment campaign this month to find the next generation of store managers, the kitchen specialist is inviting employees who may be facing redundancy to apply.
The campaign has a particular focus on providing jobs and driving greater investment across its nationwide stores. Figures from Magnet show that the average length of service for store managers is almost 10 years, with many of the current leadership team having started their careers in store roles, highlighting the businesses dedication to providing longstanding opportunities to their employees.
Paul Strong, store operations director at Magnet, said: “In these challenging times we want to do what we can to support people whose jobs are at risk. At Magnet, we have lots of opportunities available for passionate and driven individuals, offering the chance to build a rewarding career with us. Many of our store managers have grown with us, moving into leadership roles thanks to the support and development we offer, starting with our industry-leading induction programme. So, if you’re looking for your next opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.”
