Uform, a leading supplier of doors and accessories to the kitchen, bedroom and living space markets across the UK & Ireland, has announced the acquisition of TKC, in a move that it says further strengthens the Uform Group’s position within the kitchen sector. Uform and TKC have both built a reputation across the independent kitchen retail, contract and trade manufacturing channels. The acquisition represents a significant strategic step for Uform, in expanding its reach and capability by creating new market opportunities in new channels.

TKC brings complementary expertise and a strong position in the merchant and trade channels, an area identified as a major growth opportunity for Uform. By combining Uform’s scale, manufacturing capability and customer focus with TKC’s channel strength, the group says it will be better positioned to broaden its offering, enhance flexibility for customers, and unlock new routes to market. Together, the businesses will be 'the largest specialist supplier to the kitchen market' and will offer an expanded product portfolio, creating a more complete and compelling proposition for customers across all channels.

Uform says it is looking forward to welcoming colleagues from TKC into the group and collectively driving both businesses forward. Uform is also pleased to announce that David Adams will join as CEO to lead the next phase of growth for the combined Uform and TKC businesses. Adams brings significant senior leadership experience and a strong track record of driving growth, operational performance, and customer service.

Commenting on his appointment, David Adams said: “I am excited to be joining Uform at such an important point in its development. The combination of Uform and TKC creates a compelling platform for growth, and I look forward to working with the team to build on the strong foundations of both businesses and deliver for our customers.”

Uform’s group sales & marketing director Wes Mckenna added: “After a long and considered search, we are pleased to complete the acquisition of TKC. This is an important step for the group and significantly strengthens our kitchen and bedroom offering. By bringing together the strengths of both businesses, we are well positioned to deliver even greater choice, competitive pricing and continued high levels of service to our customers.”

CEO of TKC, Roy Saunders, said: “The acquisition of TKC by Uform is exciting news. Uform is a respected brand in the KBB sector and undoubtedly our combined strength will provide strong growth and a compelling proposition for our customers, as well as long-term stability for our employees. This is a fantastic opportunity to create an exciting future, and we look forward to working with our Uform colleagues to achieve this.”
