Italian appliance brand Smeg used its presence at this year's EuroCucina to showcase its new built-in collection MUSA, but also its vision of the kitchen of the future. NEO, the humanoid home robot from 1X, made an appearance at the show as part of Smeg’s EuroCucina installation.

NEO interacted with appliances in a live kitchen setting, handling ingredients, operating equipment and moving through the space in a way designed to feel practical rather than theatrical, giving a glimpse of the kitchen as a more integrated, intelligent space, where appliance design and assistive technology start to work together in a meaningful way.

According to Smeg, that opens up a wider conversation around how brands are thinking about the future of the kitchen. Not only as a design destination, but as a responsive environment shaped by both aesthetics and intelligent support.

MUSA is Smeg's first new built-in collection in a decade, developed in collaboration with Milanese design studio, BorromeoDeSilva.
