Prestons Kitchens expands with £250k investment in fifth showroom in Wakefield

German kitchen retailer Prestons Kitchens has announced the opening of a new showroom in Wakefield, its fifth in the north of England, as part of its significant growth strategy.

After its best year to date in 2025, the 8000sq ft showroom opened on 30th May on Ings Road, Wakefield, representing a £250,000 investment and creating 5 new jobs for the region. The opening forms part of Prestons Kitchens’ wider growth strategy to strengthen its footprint in local markets in and around the M62 corridor.

In-store, customers will be able experience true German quality kitchens, with 8 fully operational displays showcasing the latest trends in styles, colours, finishes and kitchen design technology the business has to offer.

Founded in 2014, by MD Mark Parker, Prestons Kitchens is a family-run business with sites in Huddersfield, Leeds, Preston and Stockport. Parker was inspired to set up Prestons from his father, who was the largest importer of German kitchens into the UK for over 30 years.
