Benchmarx Kitchens & Joinery expands service in Scotland
Benchmarx Kitchens & Joinery has opened its doors in Glasgow for the first time after the opening of its new showroom on Helen Street, which is less than a mile away from Ibrox Stadium, the home of Rangers Football Club. Previously, Benchmarx only had a showroom in the capital city of Edinburgh, but it has now increased its presence in the Scottish market with its expansion to Glasgow. The kitchen supplier is part of a new Travis Perkins branch on Helen Street.
To celebrate the opening, Scottish football star and Soccer Saturday broadcaster Alan McInally, pictured, cut the ribbon to officially open the new branch. There was also an opportunity for tradespeople to take part in a trade triathlon, giving them the chance to win tickets to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow later this summer. The new showroom gives customers access to Benchmarx’s kitchen design offering, as well as its innovative products, such as Samsung appliances, its Marlow Paint to Order range.
Julie Adam, Sshowroom manager at Benchmarx Glasgow Helen Street, said: “We are delighted to open our first showroom in Glasgow, where we will be providing the reliable service for trade kitchen fitters that we are so well-known for. As a business, Benchmarx has come a long way since we opened our first branch in London 20 years ago and with so many exciting updates to the service we provide in 2026, we are going to be able to service our trade customers in Glasgow, which is very exciting.
“With the new showroom being part of a Travis Perkins branch, it means that tradespeople will be able to get all their essential products under one roof, including access to Travis Perkins Hire, which has the largest branch network in the UK. We were delighted to welcome former Scottish football star Alan McInally into the branch as part of the opening as well as giving kitchen fitters the chance to win tickets to the Commonwealth Games in what is an exciting time for the region.”
Benchmarx has more than 130 branches nationwide, supplying kitchens and joinery for trade professionals and their customers.
