Falmec appoints Owain Harrison as new UK managing director

Italian appliance brand Falmec has announced the appointment of Owain Harrison as its UK MD, effective from 1^st October 2026. Marking a new chapter for the brand, Harrison brings extensive UK and international kitchen industry experience and joins an established UK team with a loyal specialist retail customer base.

Having built much of his career within the kitchen appliance sector, Harrison launched Novy in the UK in 2017, initially as country manager for the family-owned Belgian manufacturer. He later held international responsibilities within the business following its acquisition by Middleby Residential. In 2024, Harrison was appointed MD of KBBG, DER KREIS UK, succeeding Bill Miller. He left the buying group in July 2026 before returning to the international appliance industry with Falmec.

Founded in 1981, family-owned Falmec designs and manufactures its products in Vittorio Veneto, at the heart of Italy’s renowned Inox Valley, close to the historic city of Venice. Specialising in induction and extraction appliances, together with a range complementary products including furniture, sinks and taps, the Falmec brand is aimed at independent kitchen studios.

Having recently invested in the development of technologies to create silent extraction, together with the effective removal of condensation in the kitchen, Falmec will be introducing new products and innovative materials in a programme of UK launches from 2027 onwards.
