Bespoke Bellagio shower hardware brings luxury to a challenging bathroom space
The most successful bathroom schemes balance aesthetics with practicality while responding intelligently to the architecture of the space – we find out how CRL's Bellagio shower hardware can help create a luxurious bathroom in an awkward-shaped room.
A series of recent bathroom projects designed by Splashing Out and installed by A Touch of Glass (Yorkshire) demonstrate how bespoke frameless showering solutions can transform even challenging spaces. Featuring sloping ceilings, unusual angles and restricted dimensions, the bathrooms called for an approach that could be tailored precisely to each room without compromising the overall design.
CRL’s Bellagio shower hardware, specified in Polished Rose Gold and Satin Brass, provided the finishing touch, complementing the bespoke glass installations and helping to create a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

Creating bathrooms around the individual space
The projects were complete bathroom renovations, with the brief to transform the existing spaces into high-end, design-led interiors that were as practical as they were visually impressive. Rather than simply replacing existing bathroom suites, Splashing Out approached each room individually, designing around the property, available space and homeowners’ requirements.
The homeowners wanted bathrooms with a distinctive, bespoke character rather than an off-the-shelf appearance. Maximising the available space was therefore a priority, alongside introducing premium finishes and creating rooms that would work effortlessly for everyday life. Central to achieving this was the showering area. Rather than treating the enclosure as a purely functional necessity, the shower was designed as an integral feature of each bathroom.
With frameless glass supplied and installed by A Touch of Glass (Yorkshire), CRL’s Bellagio hardware enabled the glazing to remain visually minimal, helping retain a sense of openness while allowing the surrounding tiles, brassware, furniture and lighting to take centre stage. This proved particularly important because several of the rooms incorporated sloping ceilings and awkward angles that would make the use of a conventional, standard-sized shower enclosure difficult.
Bespoke glass could instead be manufactured specifically to follow the architecture of each room, making effective use of space beneath pitched ceilings and around other structural constraints. The result is a series of shower enclosures that appear to belong naturally within their surroundings rather than forcing the bathroom design to accommodate a standard product.

The finishing touch
The choice of Polished Rose Gold and Satin Brass finishes was equally considered. Their warm metallic tones complement the premium brassware and detailing throughout the bathrooms, creating continuity across the schemes. Against both dramatic dark marble-effect surfaces and softer neutral stone and timber-effect finishes, the hardware provides an elegant detail without overwhelming the overall design.
The frameless glass itself also plays an important role. By avoiding unnecessary visual barriers, it allows feature surfaces and architectural details to remain visible through the shower enclosure, helping even more complex spaces feel larger and more open.
Splashing Out explains: “A key part of our design approach is creating bathrooms around the individual space and the client’s requirements, rather than designing around standard products. Working with A Touch of Glass gives us the flexibility to specify bespoke frameless glass to suit the individual design. This allows us to push the design further and achieve a genuinely bespoke finish, particularly where standard shower enclosures wouldn’t be suitable.”
Careful collaboration was particularly important during installation. Existing structures, unusual layouts, restricted ceiling heights and the precise dimensions required for bespoke glass all had to be considered. Close communication between Splashing Out and A Touch of Glass helped ensure these practical challenges could be resolved without compromising the original design intent.
The finished bathrooms demonstrate the versatility of a bespoke approach. From dramatic black marble-effect tiling teamed with gold-toned detailing to softer stone and timber-inspired schemes complemented by warm metallic finishes, each room has its own personality while sharing the same emphasis on clean lines, premium materials and carefully considered detailing.

A high-end result
Most importantly, the homeowners have been extremely pleased with the results. The showering spaces have become focal points within the finished bathrooms while remaining open, practical and visually understated.
For Splashing Out, the projects demonstrate the value of combining creative bathroom design with specialist glass expertise and carefully selected hardware.
“The combination of our bespoke bathroom design and A Touch of Glass’s ability to create glass specifically for each space has been a big part of achieving that high-end finished look,” says Adam of Splashing Out.
With its minimal contemporary styling and choice of design-led finishes, CRL Bellagio shower hardware provides the details needed to complete bespoke frameless shower installations – helping designers and installers turn challenging bathroom architecture into an opportunity rather than a compromise.
