ISH 2027 Designplus Award seeks innovative solutions for HVAC + Water
ISH 2027 Designplus Award seeks innovative solutions for HVAC + Water
Under the strapline 'The Power of Solutions', ISH 2027 is puting practical solutions and innovative concepts in the spotlight as the leading platform for the sector. The Designplus Award recognises particularly outstanding developments and has done so since 1995. As an established benchmark for the industry, it stands for continuity, professional relevance and recognition. ISH exhibitors have until 22nd January 2027 to submit their innovations.
The Designplus Award have been showcasing products that combine design quality with technological progress for more than 3 decades. An independent jury of experts from industry, design and architecture decides on the awards, and their verdict recognises the quality of the winning solutions and the work of the teams behind them.
The winners will be presented with their awards at a ceremony on the first day of the trade fair. A new highlight is the Guided Tours programme: instead of a separate special exhibition, trade visitors and members of the press can discover the award-winning solutions directly at the winners’ stands. This enables them to experience the concepts in the context of the trade fair and discuss them with the manufacturers in person.
Stefan Seitz, director ISH brand management, said: “As the world’s leading trade fair, we see it as our responsibility to showcase innovation and help drive it forward. The Designplus Award reflects the current direction of the sector: the winning solutions show how companies are responding to key challenges related to water, heating and air. This gives trade visitors and members of the press at ISH an overview of current developments and approaches to solving these challenges."
The Designplus Award comprises 4 main categories and 2 special categories:
Water & Efficiency +: Solutions that use water more efficiently by reducing consumption and losses, safeguarding drinking water hygiene, or intelligently monitoring and controlling water use.
HVAC & Resource Efficiency +: Energy-efficient heating and air-conditioning technology that integrates renewable energy, reduces CO₂ emissions and contributes to a healthy indoor climate.
Smart & Control +: Intelligent control and networking of building services equipment and systems. The focus is on demand-based automation and solutions that optimise energy consumption and comfort.
Design & Innovation +: Solutions that combine sophisticated design with innovative technology, for example through new materials, processes, functions or sustainable use concepts.
Entry to the 2 special categories is free of charge:
Young Innovators +: For participants in the ISH Startup and Scaleup Area. This category recognises new ideas, technologies and business models.
Sustainable Exhibition Stand +: For exhibitors whose stands stand out for their environmentally friendly materials and resource-efficient construction methods, from planning through to operation.
The independent jury will meet in mid-February to review all entries. The evaluation criteria range from compelling design and technological innovation to sustainability and relevance to the future of the sector. The Designplus Award is organised in cooperation with Stylepark magazine.
