KBX announces London launch with leading industry brands confirmed as 'founding partners'
KBX – a brand-new annual kitchen and bathroom trade fair – is launching at London's Business Design Centre from 15th - 17th September 2027, promising to 'unite leading kitchen and bathroom brands with the architects, interior designers, developers, specifiers, and industry decision makers shaping the future of luxury interiors'. Created by the teams behind industry publication designerati, and award-winning event organiser The Assembly, KBX is aiming to introduce a 'fresh approach to the traditional trade show'. This will involve creating 'a carefully curated, design-led event with a 12-month programme of strategic brand marketing, editorial content and targeted audience engagement', aiming to 'redefine how the industry connects, collaborates, and does business'.
Founding brand partners already confirmed include BLANCO, Haier, SONAS Bathrooms, The 1810 Company, SCHOCK, Roman Showers, Miele, Rotpunkt, Schueller, next125, Kitchenex and Quooker, joined by designerati, KBBFocus, InstallerInsight, BIFIS, Bathroom Association, The KBSA, ACID, Diary of a Tile Addict and SBID.
Organisers say that under the principles 'Design. Specify. Connect.', KBX will mix product discovery with a programme of live content, immersive design features and opportunities for brands to build relationships with the professionals shaping residential, hospitality and commercial projects.
Beyond the show floor
In addition, KBX will feature a series of dedicated spaces and content programmes designed around kitchen and bathroom specification.
- ● The Kitchen of Tomorrow in partnership with Quooker: An immersive installation showcasing emerging technologies, robotics, intelligent appliances and innovative materials shaping the kitchens of the future.
- ● KBX Wellness: A dedicated showcase of innovative bathroom products, sensory experiences and technologies designed to enhance wellbeing and relaxation.
- ● KBX Stage: A dynamic programme of expert discussions, keynote presentations and interviews exploring the ideas and challenges shaping the industry.
- ● FutureKitchen Conference in partnership with Quooker: A research-led conference bringing together industry experts to challenge conventional thinking and explore the future of kitchen design, specification and living.
- ● X-Over Bar: A striking networking destination where futuristic design meets raw, natural materials, encouraging connections, conversations and longer dwell time.
The programme will be supported by a year-round partnership offer, giving participating brands opportunities to build visibility and engagement through co-ordinated marketing campaigns, content, editorial opportunities, and introductions with relevant industry professionals. Rather than treating participation as a short-term exhibition booking, KBX will work with a limited number of invited brand partners, building relationships around their commercial objectives and the audiences they want to reach across a 12-month campaign.
Connecting brands with the people who specify
KBX will target architects, interior designers, developers, housebuilders, retailers, showrooms and commercial property specifiers, alongside relevant media and industry influencers. A year-round multi-channel marketing campaign is planned, blending proven traditional channels, media and PR partnerships, with dynamic digital outreach.
For visitors, organisers say KBX offers an opportunity to discover innovative products, explore emerging design trends and source solutions for future projects, while connecting with leading kitchen and bathroom brands. For partners, it promises to provide 'a highly targeted platform to build meaningful relationships, engage with key decisionmakers and specifiers, and generate long-term commercial opportunities'.
The event will also host the designerati Awards 2027 on Thursday 16th September.
A different approach to industry events
KBX founder Clara Perry said: “Having worked in this industry for more than 25 years, I know the strength of its brands, the pace of innovation and the importance of connecting the right people. KBX is an opportunity to bring the kitchen and bathroom specification community together around the products, ideas and solutions that matter to their businesses and projects. We want to create a relevant, industry-led event that reflects the ambition of the sector and helps move it forward.”
Michael Dynan, co-founder of contemporary events company The Assembly, added: “At The Assembly, we believe the live event should be the pinnacle of a much bigger relationship, not the beginning and end of it. Beyond the 3-day event, KBX will work with a curated collective of brand partners on 12-month programmes shaped around their commercial objectives, combining co-ordinated marketing campaigns, content, introductions and meetings with relevant industry professionals, creating value before, during and long after the show itself.”
