Häfele showcases upcoming products on virtual 3D platform

Häfele UK gave visitors a glimpse into the future at Interzum (which ran from 4th to 7th May), as the furniture fittings and accessories manufacturer showcased a series of upcoming products for the year ahead.

Using its new Häfele Discoveries platform, a virtual 3D environment, users experienced its forthcoming solutions before their launch, including the next generation of Loox furniture lighting, new matt finishes to the splashback range Alusplash, and extended Free Space range.

With Interzum taking a digital format for 2021, Häfele developed a new online showroom for future and existing solutions that was available in 16 different languages and featured over 340 products. Versatile, the company’s upcoming own brand of indoor racking and storage shelves, was one such product range that previewed at the event, alongside Loox5, the new series of Häfele’s plug and play lighting system.

Available later this year, Loox5 enables users to create pre-programmable lighting scenes of different colours and concentrations, and includes a black version of its ribbon lighting. The new Häfele Metalla range of hinges also featured at the show, plus extensions to the award-winning Free Space range of hingeless flap fittings. In particular, Free Space 6.15 and 5.15 made their debut, giving customers a heavy-duty version with soft-close and push-to-close options that will be released in the Autumn.

The Häfele Discoveries virtual event was well received by visitors, providing an engaging way to experience the company’s newest solutions after a year of restrictions. Following overwhelmingly positive feedback, personalised tours using Häfele Discoveries will now be available for customers on request.

“Interzum@home was a fantastic event and allowed us to give customers a sneak peek of the many innovations we have in the pipeline,” said Natasha Hickling, brand and communications manager at Häfele UK. “After a challenging 12 months for our industry, it was refreshing to look ahead with excitement and we hope to give more of our customers that experience by making this virtual platform available more widely.

“These innovations, and others that we’ll be announcing in the coming weeks, broaden the Häfele offer with the highest quality solutions that support our trade customers in delivering superb work for their clients.”

During Interzum@home Häfele UK also shared the findings of its research into home office trends post-pandemic in Discoveries’ live stage area. The study found that 40% of home working Brits are planning to create a dedicated office space in their property, equating to a potential spend of £700m.
