AQ Group acquires shower and brassware brand Hollys of Bath

AQ Group, parent company of Aqata and Aqualux, has announced the acquisition of assets, IP and design rights for traditional shower and brassware brand Hollys of Bath. AQ Group has also acquired the design rights for the soap dispensers range manufactured by Hollys of Bath parent company Hornbeam Ivy.

The manufacturing of the traditional style 300+ shower, tap and accessory products will move from its current base, near Bath, Somerset to the AQ Group manufacturing HQ in Hinckley, Leicestershire, and will be added to Aqata and Aqualux.

Hornbeam Ivy was established in 1986 and has been manufacturing showers, brassware, kitchen mixers and soap dispensers for many leading brands of bathroom and kitchen products. The AQ Group intends to add its Hollys of Bath brand to its portfolio and will also market the showers under its shower enclosure brand Aqata. The brand Hollys of Bath is also registered and sold into the US market, which AQ Group says represents an exciting new export opportunity for the group.

AQ Group CEO Steve Lee said: "I am delighted with this latest acquisition as the AQ Group continues with its strategic plan to position the business as a luxury ‘Made in Britain’ range of showering and bathroom products. This range provides the business with a beautiful combination of showering products, which dovetails nicely into our expertise of shower enclosure manufacturing. The market is demanding a complete shower room solution, with this latest acquisition it provides the business with a co-ordinated proposition, which is exactly what retailers and consumers are asking for."

The AQ Group is backed by its Midlands-based investment partner Intrinsic Equity, who continues to support the team with its development plan.
