The Simon Acres Group (SAGL) has announced a major new support package for the Courageous Kids Awards, which is due to be launched at KBB Birmingham in March 2022.

The Courageous Kids Awards was founded by Suzanne Skeete, MD at TT Training Academy, who has been working with SAGL for two years to raise awareness of mental health and wellness issues in the KBB sector.

Earlier this year, SAGL pledged £5,000 to support mental health services for children and adults, as well as helping Skeete to maintain the provision of a 24-hour helpline for children.

Simon Acres, MD at SAGL, said: "We are delighted to continue to support Suzanne and the services she provides. Her work with children is essential as when it comes to workplace health and wellbeing, it has been shown that behaviours are influenced predominantly by those around you, your immediate family or children. In this way, supporting children helps us support parents in the workplace".

Acres continued: "We are donating £5,000, to be main sponsor of the Courageous Kids Awards. The funds will come from our commitment, for the second time, to not use plastic marketing merchandise for the duration of KBB Birmingham. We hope that many other companies will join us in supporting Suzanne and the Courageous Kids Awards. Companies that come on-board as sponsors will be offered wellness checks and discounted wellness reviews for employees, as well as the opportunity to take part in the 2022 Courageous Kids Awards".

Speaking about the support, Skeete added: "I am excited to be bringing the Courageous Kids Awards back and grateful to SAGL for their support. I am looking forward to joining Simon and the team at KBB Birmingham to launch this campaign".

The not-for-profit Corageous Kids Awards were launched in 2015, to "recognise the success and achievements of some of our most vulnerable children, many of whom are from under-privileged backgrounds that struggle from day to day, let alone have the opportunity to have any fun or celebrate their accomplishments," Skeete explains.

The 2022 Courageous Kids Awards will take place at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham, on Saturday 12th November.
