Nolte continues UK expansion with acquisition of The Kitchen Group

Nolte Kitchens UK has revealed that in December 2021 it acquired 100% of the shares in privately-owned, London-based company The Kitchen Group Retail Co. Ltd. After the takeover of In-toto Ltd earlier this year, Nolte says the current acquisition marks the next step in the process of market penetration in the UK. This now adds six additional retail shops, which have become part of Nolte’s UK distribution network.

With The Kitchen Group as its newest partner, Nolte Kitchens has expanded its market presence in the UK, following the company’s long-term strategy of focussing on building and strengthening a comprehensive dealer network throughout the country. Adding new partners to its own distribution network and integrating franchise businesses within Nolte’s structure, the company says it is pursuing two key goals. In the first instance, it will be leveraging the benefits of being part of Nolte, utilising its large portfolio to a wide range of UK studios in order to create brand awareness. Secondly, it will use this increased presence to gain 'importance and authority in the contract and project sectors'.

Chris Rushby, country manager UK at Nolte, pictured, said: “The Kitchen Group is well known for premium kitchens Made in Germany and has a strong retail and project presence. Moving forward, the sole brand focus will be on Nolte and enhancing both retail and project activities by providing excellent services to end customers, architects and developers alike.”

Located in Sevenoaks, Battersea, Tunbridge Wells, Hampstead, Milton Keynes and Nottingham, the newly added stores fit well into the existing partner structure, as there is no geographical overlap. As part of the acquisition, The Kitchen Group studios will be completely refurbished and supported with a nationwide marketing campaign to strengthen the business.

The Kitchen Group owner, Liam Hopper, said: “Nolte have the passion, product and willingness to drive this company to the next level and chapter in its expansion. They are fully equipped with the skills it takes to grow a strong and stable company, which is vital for any succession. I’m truly thrilled to hand this company over to such a well-known and respected international brand with strong leadership, and look forward to driving this company forward with new visions."

Chris Rushby added: “The next step will be to establish The Kitchen Group stores in further locations for even better access to the Nolte brand. With a portfolio that spans not only kitchens, but also living and work spaces, utility rooms and bathrooms, the stores will be the ideal place to go for contractors too. We look forward to new partnerships in this sector and bringing Nolte designs to households across the UK.”
