Family-owned German furniture fittings manufacturer Hettich has announced that Simeon Gabriel has been appointed the new MD at Hettich UK, taking over from Tim Leedham who retired earlier this year.
The former MD of filter specialist and British export success story Doulton Drinking Water, Gabriel brings 17 years of international kitchen industry experience to the role.
Gabriel said: "Hettich is a global business with a family ethos, improving people’s lives through clever engineering. It is a very exciting prospect to lead Hettich UK with its solid brand and great people, combined with products which offer innovative solutions, not only to our direct customers but to their customers, and to the end users who use the products in their daily lives."
He added: "As the functionality and aesthetics of people’s homes become more important, the quality and intelligence of Hettich’s core products gives them significant growth potential. Our focus is to help customers add value to their businesses, which means prioritising their needs while also understanding those of the consumers they serve.”
Hettich was founded in 1888 – today it is one of the world's largest manufacturers of furniture fittings, with over 6,700 members of staff in almost 80 countries.
