The members of PHG, the specialist Plumbing, Heating & Bathroom buying group, met for their annual conference this month with a pivotal part being their awards ceremony. Roper Rhodes repeated the success of the previous year and collected two awards this year – one for Instinct and one for Overall Supplier of the Year, beating 125 other suppliers to the prize.
PHG is led by some of the most experienced merchants in the country and is subsequently one of the largest groups in the UK, with 287 branches/showrooms recording £552million in turnover. PHG chairman David Pochin, remarked: “These awards are an excellent opportunity for us to recognise suppliers that consistently offer exceptional products and customer service and I congratulate Roper Rhodes on winning the overall award for a second year in a row.”
Chris Vallance, group sales director at Roper Rhodes commented: “One of our core pillars is to provide exceptional service so it is fantastic to be acknowledged in this way as these awards are voted for by all the members”.
Instinct is PHG’s own range of quality bathroom products exclusively for members, and was launched back in 2012. John Dicken, Instinct product manager, noted: “It has been very exciting to see this exclusive range develop in the last few years and to be able offer our members such great products, Roper Rhodes have been instrumental in enabling us to expand the collection.” Leigh Leather, MD of Roper Rhodes, added: “I’d like to thank the members of PHG for their continued support and also thank everyone in our team for their hard work to consistently deliver to our customers”.
