Hansgrohe brassware specified for Hackney Wick development

Brassware from Hansgrohe has been specified for all the bathrooms, en suites and shower rooms in the new Fish Island Village development in Hackney Wick.

The development is the result of an exclusive partnership between housebuilder Hill and housing association Peabody, and comprises modern apartments and commercial space, 50,000sq ft of which has been earmarked to provide workspaces for creative start-up businesses.

Products specified from Hansgrohe's portfolio include the Raindance and Croma showers that come with Select technology that enables spray types to be changed at the touch of a button. In keeping with the sustainable credentials of Fish Island Village, the Focus basin and bath mixers were selected for their built-in EcoSmart technology, which limits water flow to 5 litres per minute, and is said to mean that up to 60% less water is consumed than with conventional products.

"Hansgrohe is synonymous with quality, both in terms of design and manufacturing. Fish Island Village heralds the arrival of a unique development that shares similar design values, offering housing that truly makes luxury affordable," said Hansgrohe UK residential sales manager Simon Gibbins. "In rented apartments, the concerns around failing, servicing or replacing products are high. However, the lifetime costs and proven longevity of our ranges mitigates the risk and provides peace of mind for developers. It was a privilege to work with the teams at Hill and Peabody on this project," he added.
