Interior design specifying platform Sample Library has announced it has appointed two industry leaders to its board as it develops expansion plans. Award-winning interior designer and founder of the Society of British and International Design (SBID) Dr Vanessa Brady OBE, and former Farrow & Ball CMO and independent brand strategist Jo Rance, have joined Sample Library as chair and vice-chair.
The appointments come as Sample Library progresses its long-term strategy, which will see the platform expand into new territories and develop more functionality.
Chris Walters, founder of Sample Library, said: "We have always been very ambitious in the direction we want to take Sample Library, and the appointments of Vanessa and Jo is testament to this. They both bring a wealth of industry experience and knowledge which will be invaluable to our development. We are all very excited for the coming years ahead."
Vanessa Brady, who was appointed an OBE in 2014 in recognition of her services to the interior design industry and the UK economy, brings over 40 years of industry experience with her. She said: “Sample Library is transforming the way interior designers discover and source new materials and finishes for their projects. Throughout my time in the industry I have worked with a wide network of both manufacturers and interior designers and I hope to develop Sample Library into the go-to platform that connects the two.”
Sample Library, based in Hertfordshire, was established in 2020 by Chris Walters with the aim of making sourcing samples for interior design projects smarter, easier and faster. The service is exclusively for interior design professionals, who can use the service for free. The company aims to become the largest online resource hub for specifiers who are looking to request samples for their projects whilst being a key lead generator for industry leading suppliers and manufacturers.
