Ideal Standard scoops 18th RoSPA Occupational Health & Safety Award

Ideal Standard is celebrating the win of its 18th RoSPA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) Occupational Health & Safety Gold award and receiving RoSPA’s prestigious Order of Distinction. The Order of Distinction is awarded to companies gaining RoSPA's Gold Achievement Standard level for more than 15 consecutive years.

Organisations receiving a RoSPA Award are recognised as being world-leaders in health and safety practice. Every year, nearly 2,000 entrants vie to achieve the highest possible accolade in what is the UK’s longest-running H&S industry awards.

The RoSPA Awards scheme is the longest running of its kind in the UK, but it receives entries from organisations across the globe, making it one of the most sought-after achievement awards for health and safety worldwide.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s achievements director, said: “This is a fantastic and well-deserved accomplishment. By receiving this recognition Ideal Standard join like-minded businesses and organisations worldwide, who represent the very best in their approach to health and safety. I would like to add my personal thanks for all the work that it has taken to secure this well-deserved award-congratulations to all those involved, who champion and drive up health and safety standards every day. Currently, around 7million people are directly impacted by the RoSPA Awards, but the scheme’s global influence is even wider – with nearly 2,000 organisations from 46 countries represented this year.”

Mike Kelly, HR director at Ideal Standard UK, said: “This incredible result is only possible with the commitment, teamwork and involvement of everyone.  We have achieved the Order of Distinction once again for our continued efforts to maintain the high standards of the Gold level over consecutive years, something we all should, and must, be proud of. This RoSPA Award is a great recognition and confirmation of our continued improvement by an independent organisation – well done to everyone involved.”
