InSinkErator has announced that it has joined the National Merchant Buying Society (NMBS) – the buying group for independent builders, plumbers, hardware and timber merchants.
The NMBS is committed to supporting independent merchants and has over 1,200 members who now have access to InSinkErator’s products, taking advantage of exclusive offers and terms. NMBS members can benefit from InSinkErator’s collection of food waste disposers and specialist kitchen taps.
Kevin Carr, UK sales director at InSinkErator, said: “We are delighted to join the NMBS as a supplier and believe that the group’s members will benefit hugely from our products. Now is the perfect time to consider installing a food waste disposer as the Government has announced that by 2023, every UK household will receive separate weekly food waste collections. Having a separate food waste collection can mean smelly food waste accumulates in the kitchen, therefore independent merchants are expected to witness an increase in demand for food waste disposers. An InSinkErator model allows food waste to be disposed of instantly, eliminating the need to use an unhygienic food waste caddy, especially where home composting is not possible.”
Baljit Singh, trading manager (lightside), NMBS added: “At NMBS, it’s our mission to develop and strengthen the businesses of our independent merchants and we strive to increase the profitability of all our members. The addition of InSinkErator to our portfolio of suppliers gives our members access to innovative products, which have eco benefits, at a time when sustainability is high on the agenda for many households.”
