The first speakers have been announced for HIX – the Hotel Interiors Experience which is returning to London's Business Design Centre for its second year in November. Taking place on 17th and 18th of the month, the event will showcase established and emerging design-led brands in a 'boutique' exhibition, alongside a conference that will explore the story of social change over the past 18 months.
This year's HIX Talks programme is set to explore new concepts and movements that have arisen in the wake of the disruption created by seismic events.
Alon Baranowitz, founder of Baranowitz + Kronenberg, will be taking part in the discussion The Stories We Tell: In Praise of Spatial Experience. This is an exploration of the power and importance of design stories, and a guide to creating holistic, coherent and inspiring hospitality experiences.
Caroline List, international sales director for TopHotelProjects will be joining the discussion Great Things Will Grow: Data for the Hotel Recovery. Following a once-in-a-generation crisis that shook the hospitality sector the market is returning – this talk looks at the opportunities and challenges that have emerged.
Brendan Mullard, co-founder & director of Object Space Place, Diana Darmina, interior design manager for Room2, and Jeremy Grove, co-founder of Sibley Grove discuss Absolute Zero: What’s Next for Net Zero Design?.
Other topics being addressed in the programme include Inner City Pressure: Hotels in the New Metropolis, and Our Time on Earth: The Power of Creativity in an era of Climate Emergency, and more.
