The Unified Water Label Association (UWLA) has announced that plumbing and heating buying group PHG has become the latest company to register with it. PHG has 15 members across 289 branches and showrooms, and its own-brand Instinct products will be added to the UWLA database.
John Dicken, commercial director at PHG, said: “We are delighted to be supporting the Unified Water Label by becoming a registered company. The need to use water wisely has never been more important and by registering our Instinct brand with the Unified Water Label, we can play our part and encourage others to come on board.
“With PHG members collectively turning over £500 million we have a real opportunity to influence other brands and build more support for the label. We will be featuring the need to consider water efficiency and how the Unified Water Label can help in our next brochure and plan to introduce the use of the Unified Water Label as part of our tender process in the future.”
UWLA MD Yvonne Orgill said: “We are pleased to welcome PHG and the INSTINCT brand to the UWLA. Their commitment to focus on aiding customers to promote reducing water and energy waste, especially with escalating energy costs, will contribute to our efforts and ensure that by working together, we can influence behaviour and make a real difference.”
