Italian manufacturer Falmec has won the 2023 German Design Award for its innovative new Shelf extraction solution.
Shelf, from the company’s new Elements collection, is a self-suction solution made of black painted steel with a black satin-finished aluminium profile, which is designed specifically to be incorporated into kitchen living projects.
The German Design Award is granted to products for concept, high quality of design, innovation and accessibility; it is considered by a jury of influential figures from academia, interior, graphic and industrial design, architecture and the media.
Thanks to the company's exclusive Multi-Air technology, Shelf incorporates a thin structure of only 10cm in thickness to increase suction capacity, retaining performance with a reduced volume. This concept transforms its fundamental function into a fully integrated multifunctional kitchen structure.
