Double winner at CIH 2020 Supplier Awards event is BSH

Combined Independents Holdings (CIH), an electrical buying group which is part of Euronics, welcomed 120 guests to its 2020 suppliers' Christmas lunch event, which was held virtually this year as a result of the current COVID-19 crisis. The event included a hamper lunch, a quiz, speeches from retiring CEO Stuart Cook, newly appointed deputy CEO Guy Kinnell, and from the chairman, Steve Scogings, pictured.

The event also included the group's annual supplier awards, which featured four categories. This year, both the White Goods Supplier of the Year, and the new category, the Members Supplier of the Year, were won by BSH.

"Their independent sales team have been available throughout the pandemic, except those forced to isolate, and although like others they have had stock issues, they have delivered record turnover throughout their membership," said Steve Scogings. "They not only achieved this through our warehouses but also through their direct business too."

Paul Tyler, retail channel director at BSH UK, said: “We were delighted to win two awards at the CIH 2020 Supplier Awards. A new award was added this year, ‘The Members' Choice’ for Supplier of the Year. To be recognised in such a challenging year for everyone by the members you work with is a huge achievement, and it’s been a real team effort from all of the departments within BSH.

“We pride ourselves on the service we give to independent retailers. Throughout this year, we’ve ensured we’ve been on hand to provide support from every department to our retail partners in whatever way we can, and it’s great to see this has been appreciated through winning ‘The Members' Choice’.”
