The Bathroom Manufacturers Association has announced the launch of the BMA Sustainability Awards 2023, which it says is an opportunity for all its members to showcase their dedication to sustainability and contribute to a greener future. The BMA's annual awards are a testament to its commitment to promoting environmental stewardship and recognising the efforts made by manufacturers in reducing their environmental impacts.
The awards ceremony is set to take place on 10th October at the Carden Park Hotel in Cheshire as part of the BMA’s Annual Industry Conference. This year, the BMA will present three distinct award categories: the Carbon Reduction Award, the Water Efficiency Award, and the new Open Category Award.
Tom Reynolds, chief executive at the BMA, said: “As an association, sustainability is a crucial pillar of our activities. BMA members have been at the forefront of driving positive change by improving their environmental footprint, developing water-efficient products, embracing innovation, influencing behaviours and transitioning towards a circular economy. The BMA Sustainability Awards 2023 will build upon the success of last year's awards, where the sector witnessed the association members' immense progress and unwavering passion.”
The BMA is inviting all full and affiliate members to submit their award-winning entries, and encouring them to share projects, products, or initiatives through a 300–400-word narrative encompassing the background, team members involved, the process, and the outcomes. All entries must be accompanied by a video of up to three minutes long, which can be shot on an iPhone.
