Nick McNally, director of Edinburgh-based Kitchens by Nick McNally is embarking on an epic 12-day challenge with friends on the 2nd September, hoping to raise £4,000 for Cancer Research UK. McNally and his friends – aka ‘The Quad Squad’ – came together as novice bike riders and have now been in training since March for the challenge.
McNally said about the trip ahead: “The Quad Squad will pedal the world famous 916 mile cycle from Land's End to John o’ Groats through villages and towns, taking in the landscapes whilst making friends, memories and raising vital funds along the way.” The journey starts in Cornwall on the South West coast, where they will then travel up through the English countryside across the border and into Scotland. The next stage will involve navigating their way round lochs and over mountains and eventually arriving on the North coast to reach John o’ Groats.
