PJH invests in new sustainable vehicles for transport fleet

Bathroom and appliance distributor, PJH Group has announced it has invested in 75 new sustainable vehicles to its national network of transport fleet and all will be showcasing a fresh new modern PJH livery. The move follows a series of recent investments the company is regularly making into its business to meet its ambitious growth plans and continuously enhance its industry-leading service.

The new vehicles, which range in size from 3.5T vans to 44T articulated trucks, are extremely low emission Euro 6 engine models, bringing a considerable reduction in the company’s carbon footprint, as well as benefits such as greater fuel efficiency and reliability. The new fleet also forms part of PJH’s investment in continuously improving its already high customer service levels, supporting further its growing Next-Day Delivery proposition.

Speaking about the investment, Shaun Berry, national transport nanager, PJH, said: “This is the biggest refresh of PJH vehicles ever carried out in a single year. The new fleet will assist PJH enormously in attaining its sustainability goals as well as lowering its costs, through a reduction in fuel use, and reliability. The fleet’s new eye-catching livery will also increase our profile, as they travel the length and breadth of the county, projecting the fresh, vibrant and successful outlook of the PJH brand.”

Berry added: “With the number of deliveries we make annually approaching the 340,000 mark, and a next-day delivery offering to 91% of UK post codes, the new vehicles will improve our customer service even further as their greater reliability means more vehicles on the road able to complete deliveries on-time and when customers are expecting them.”
