The Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA) has announced that it has welcomed a new member – Duravit AG. Founded in 1817 in Hornberg in the Black Forest, Duravit AG is today a leading international manufacturer of designer bathrooms. The company is active in more than 130 countries worldwide and is renowned for its partnerships with high-profile international designers, such as Philippe Starck, Sieger Design and Matteo Thun.
Duravit's product portfolio comprises sanitary ceramics, bathroom furniture, bathtubs and shower trays, wellness systems, shower toilets, tap fittings and accessories as well as installation systems. The addition of the German-headquartered brand signals a milestone for the association, which now has over 50 full members.
BMA chief executive Tom Reynolds welcomed the news: “Duravit is one of the most recognisable brands in our sector. Adding the company to our membership roster is extremely welcome and means we can speak with an even stronger collective voice. We’re very much looking forward to working with Martin and his team.”
“Duravit are looking forward to playing an active part within the BMA,” commented UK managing director Martin Carroll.
