Jon Johnston – What to look forward to at KBB Birmingham 2024

The countdown to the biggest date in the UK KBB industry's calendar has officially begun – KBB Birmingham's sales director Jon Johnston tells us what's in store this year.

After a two year wait, kbb Birmingham is back and the 2024 event is set to be bigger and better than ever before. Open from 3rd to 6th March at the NEC Birmingham, the unmissable show will feature over 320+ exhibiting brands from across 26 different categories, exclusively showcasing a wide range of new product launches, exciting live demonstrations and the latest design trends across the industry.

As the KBB industry continues to push the boundaries of design with new creative ideas and innovative products, a huge range of these will be showcased on the show floor. For 2024 we predict an increase in more sustainable solutions and technological advances trending as the key themes, which are not only driving consumer demands but also supporting changing lifestyle needs.

There will be plenty on offer to discover, including the latest kitchen trends with inspiration for any size project. Discover the latest design solutions; from furniture to accessories, surfaces to lighting and much more. Kbb Birmingham kitchen exhibitors will showcase the latest sustainable solutions with products such as the QVac built-in vacuum sealer by Bora (K90), which will debut with live cookery demonstrations showcasing its vacuum sealing, bottle resealing, and marinating functions. Quooker will showcase 2 new finishes across its Flex and Fusion tap and accessories range and AEG will launch its SaphirMatt induction hob which is up to 4x more scratch resistant, twice as fast to clean and fingerprint and stain resistant.

For the latest bathroom trends, our large and varied range of kbb Birmingham bathroom brand exhibitors will display exciting new products and collections; from designer sanitaryware to artisan tiles, from stylish brassware to sustainable fixtures and fittings. VitrA will launch its new range of furniture and washbasins, as well as its striking taps and thermostatic showers, in a range of colours and varied designs. In addition, Aqua Rodos will be launching 7 new bathroom furniture products and Clearwater will launch new hot taps, pull outs and much more.

We’re delighted to welcome back the kbb Birmingham Innovation Awards, which are once again in partnership with Blum, a leading manufacturer of high-quality kitchen fittings. The awards are a highlight of the show, celebrating creative and ground-breaking solutions from brands within the industry. Visitors to the show can see the exciting innovations for themselves and even vote for their favourite in the ‘People’s Choice’ category. In addition, a panel of leading professionals and experts from the KBB sector will judge the final categories: the ‘Judges Choice Award’ and the ‘Sustainability Award’ live, during the final day of the show.

With a lively show floor, Kbb Birmingham will undoubtedly provide visitors with inspiration, knowledge and product innovations for the year ahead. The show is also a key meeting place for specifiers, retailers, installers and designers to learn about emerging trends and cutting-edge new products in the KBB sector and provides a range of invaluable networking opportunities, all under one roof.

We’ve once again created designated areas for visitors to eat, drink and rest with The Bar, in association with KBBFocus and the Take 5 Area. To ensure visitors are kept updated with show news, features and events on-site, we’re excited to share details of our new WhatsApp channel. Keep an eye on our social media for details of how to join.

I’m looking forward to welcoming everyone back to the NEC and to celebrate what our industry has to offer during what will be a fantastic show!
