Joint administrators appointed to Aquadart Bathrooms Limited

Aquadart Bathrooms has been placed in administration with Anthony Collier and Martyn Rickels of specialist business advisory firm FRP Advisory appointed as joint administrators on 14th February 2024.

Based in Keighley, Yorkshire, the company was a shower tray manufacturer and bathroom product distributor that had a presence in the region for more than 100 years. Last year it acquired all the brands and trademarks of Cavalier Marketing. At the time, Will Hinks, general manager of Aquadart Bathrooms, said: "Our objectives going forward are to make Aquadart Bathrooms a supplier which is easy to deal with, open and honest in its communications and a reliable provider of great products, promptly delivered.”

Anthony Collier, partner at FRP and joint administrator of Aquadart Bathrooms, said: “Aquadart Bathrooms had suffered cash flow pressures in recent months and was not able to fulfil its financial obligations in the existing business structure and was placed into administration. We’re now focused on supporting all impacted employees with their applications to the Redundancy Payments Service as we wind down the remaining business.”

According to FRP Advisory, the shower tray manufacturing section of Aquadart Bathrooms has transferred to Yorkshire Shower Trays Limited, who will operate from the Company’s premises at North Dean Road, Keighley. In addition, the distribution business of Aquadart Bathrooms was transferred to Aquadart Brand Sales Limited, who will supply all major stockists and distributors in the UK with branded goods including shower enclosures, taps, screens and other accessories.

Following the transfers, FRP Advisory confirmed that 55 employees were made redundant on appointment, and said that the joint administrators 'are supporting the impacted employees and realising the remaining assets of the company'.
