ArtiCAD unveils Version 24 to offer 'next level' KBB design features

CAD software company for the KBB industry, ArtiCAD, has announced the launch of Version 24 of its widely used ArtiCAD-Pro, BathCAD, and BedCAD design and pricing software. The company says these updates 'introduce cutting-edge features designed to enhance user experience and elevate KBB design to the next level'.

The latest version introduces a new rendering option, automated natural lighting and views, advanced accessory and model import, and several additional features to further simplify user experience. Standing at the centrepiece of Version 24 is ArtiCAD's UltraHD rendering, which harnesses the latest technologies, and allows for more accurate reflections, refractions, and shadows, resulting in realistic-looking images.

A further feature to enhance image quality is HDRI (high dynamic range imaging). HDRI technology offers 360° images that wrap around designs, embedding lighting information directly into the image. This eliminates the effort of setting up lighting and views doing the work for designers. The beauty of HDRI lies in its ability to simulate real-world lighting environments without the need for the designer to specify any additional settings.

Version 24 also has a new feature to import GLTF models. GLTF is a file format for loading 3D models – making it a popular choice for displaying decorative models within designs. This allows designers to choose from a far wider selection of high quality models to import into their designs. ArtiCAD's new version features a selection of readily available decoration models (provided by iMeshh).

Alex Rollinger, senior marketing & operations executive at ArtiCAD said: "We’re super excited to introduce our latest features, particularly UltraHD – a testament to our ongoing dedication to harnessing the latest advancements in technology. With UltraHD, we’re redefining the standards of ArtiCAD rendering, delivering unparalleled clarity and realism that’s simply breathtaking. At ArtiCAD, innovation is at the core of everything we do and these new features represent a significant leap forward for our software.”
