Suzie Dawes of Dream Doors on working with leading brands

Dream Doors is a kitchen makeover company that renovates kitchens while using the existing layout and cabinets – owner of Dream Doors Enfield, Suzie Dawes, explains what motivates her to choose high-end brands.

Founded in 1999 with the aim of producing kitchens to the highest standards, Dream Doors now has 90 showrooms located nationwide, and depending on what’s required, the team renovates the doors, trims, worktops, sink, tap and appliances, as much or as little as the client needs.

“With the average homeowner replacing their entire kitchen only a handful of times in their lifetime, the team know how important it is to maintain quality standards," says Suzie.

Every kitchen that Dream Doors installs is designed to the unique requirements of its customers and fitted by an experienced team of kitchen fitters. Suzie believes it's key to stay up to date with the latest trends, so the company can offer a variety of styles and colours, as well as be aware of all the new products making their way onto the market.

“Most customers find us online or by passing our showroom on Chase Side in Enfield," she says. "If they contact us via phone, we encourage them to come and visit us initially, where we would then book a home visit to see how their chosen samples look in their space. Most of our makeovers only take a week, so it’s an easy and relatively stress-free process.”

Working with Dream Doors has a definite appeal for the homeowner who is keen to avoid a complete refit. "A kitchen makeover with Dream Doors is significantly cheaper and less disruptive than ripping out and starting from scratch," says Suzie.

"Showing our customers examples of how incorporating high-end products can create a fresh look for a fraction of the cost is a great way of selling them the concept. Premium sink and tap manufacturer, Blanco, is a fantastic example of this. The quality of the brand’s drinks systems is superb and there is a comprehensive choice for the customer, both in terms of price and style.”

With 60% of time spent in the kitchen spent at the sink, Suzie says that prioritising the water place is a key consideration no matter the size or scale of the kitchen layout.

“I always recommend clients incorporate Blanco products into their kitchen makeover because a new sink and tap can really influence the overall look of the finished design and I can rely on Blanco to provide incomparable quality. Plus, I know that the products are never out of stock and I always receive them within a few days of ordering, which makes life easier when I’m ordering multiple products. Making our customers a hot drink with a Blanco boiling water tap when they come to one of our showrooms is where the customer journey starts and they are instantly intrigued by having a customisable drink system in their own home.”

Blanco recently launched its state-of-the-art drinks system, CHOICE, which gives kitchen retailers the opportunity to offer their clients a more bespoke experience that maximises the available space. The new drinks system combines the CHOICE Icona semi-pro tap with CHOICE.All water conditioning unit, fitting discreetly under the sink to allow for increased storage. Together they provide sparkling, boiling hot, chilled, filtered and unfiltered water in a completely customisable experience. From the intensity of bubbles in sparkling water, to the exact temperature of hot and chilled filtered water and the amount of water dispensed, all of this is available at the touch of a button.

The new two-jet CHOICE ICONA tap features an intuitive touch control with a colour-coded LED light ring to indicate boiling, still and sparkling preferences

“We’ve found that the demand for multifunctional products has increased in recent years because they allow homeowners to reduce cluttered countertops and get rid of unwanted appliances like kettles, water filter jugs or bottled water. Plus, the steam from a Blanco boiling water tap doesn’t cause wear and tear to cabinet doors, which helps maintain the overall longevity of the kitchen.”

She adds: "Working with some of the world’s leading brands, we make sure to stock the latest innovations that are guaranteed to make homeowners time spent in the kitchen more streamlined and enjoyable."

The BLANCO Multi Frame, which combines the organisation system with Blanco's CHOICE drinks system, offers ease of planning, simple installation, and optimal use of space
