The British Institute of Fitted Interiors Specialists (BIFIS) has announced it will be hosting 2 retailer-focused lunch events at KBB Birmingham, as part its Retailer Connect initiative: a 'commitment to supporting and championing best practice within the fitted interiors installation sector'.

The invitation-only lunch sessions are designed specifically for retail business owners and senior decision-makers, with each event providing an opportunity for peers to connect, gain insight and discuss the key challenges and opportunities facing the sector in 2026 and beyond, in an informal and relaxed setting.

Attendees will hear from BIFIS CEO, Damian Walters, who will provide a strategic update and give insight into how predicted legislative changes are likely to affect retail businesses operating in the fitted interiors sector. Michelle Daniels, director of marketing & communications, will share insight on how retailers can strengthen and grow their business via their installation proposition and how they can use their installation offer as a point of difference when marketing their business.

Damian Walters said: “Independent retailers are an important part of our industry, and installation is a vital element of customer journey when buying – whether that be a kitchen, bedroom suite, bathroom, flooring or even smart tech. These exclusive lunches are about connecting with retailers, giving them space to step back, meet with peers and engage in meaningful conversation about the future of fitted interiors. KBB Birmingham is the perfect platform to bring retailers and installation together in this way.”

The lunch events will take place on 2nd and 4th March, from 12pm-1.30pm at the NEC Birmingham. Retailers interested in attending are encouraged to register their interest early, as places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
