Bathroom Brands Group acquires Showerwall out of administration

Bathroom Brands Group has acquired all assets relating to Showerwall out of administration from FRP Advisory (appointed administrators).

The acquisition that will see the successful Showerwall brand now sit alongside the group’s well-defined portfolio of bathroom product brands including Crosswater, Burlington, Britton and Clearwater Interiors.

The group has a stated strategy to build a portfolio of design-led brands, which provide complete bathroom interiors solutions. The Showerwall brand will join this line-up, adding a new dimension to the group.
The group enlargement will deliver meaningful category expansion giving even greater co-ordinated access to the market, delivering comprehensive solutions to trade partners and consumers.

Following recent news of International Decorative Surfaces (IDS), the parent company of Showerwall, entering administration and the appointment of FRP Advisory, recent weeks has been involved in preparing to sell remaining assets.

After a brief and comprehensive process, on the 26th September, Bathroom Brands Group reached a final agreement with FRP Advisory to acquire the assets in Showerwall, for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition of assets includes the head office and production facility in Stoke-on-Trent as well as IP and all stocks relating to Showerwall. Additionally, 19 employees across production, sales and marketing who are focused on Showerwall will have their employment transferred across to Bathroom Brands Group as part of the acquisition of assets from FRP. The Showerwall business will continue to be run as a division of the Bathroom Brands Group from their head office and production facility in Stoke-on-Trent.

Stephen Ewer, CEO Bathroom Brands Group, said: "We’re delighted to welcome Showerwall to the Bathroom Brands Group. Showerwall has a great team with so many similarities in culture and aspirations, their experience and continuity to the Showerwall brand are very welcome in the Group. A growing and enviable brand with great products within a growing sector of the market will only add to our strength for the future."

Also, commenting: Alastair Massey, joint administrator & partner at FRP Advisory, said: "I am very pleased to finalise this sale of assets and see the Showerwall team and business find a new home with a group that shares a common vision."
