Lakes continues sustainability successes with ISO accreditations

Lakes Showering Spaces’ ongoing commitment to strengthening its sustainability practices has been recognised with a major new certification. In the latest chapter of its ongoing environmental journey, the shower enclosure brand has hit the significant milestone of attaining ISO 14001 accreditation.

The standard is an internationally recognised and prestigious marker of quality and good practice in relation to a business’s environmental management system, which plays a key role in dictating how its overall sustainability drive is measured and acted upon. Achieving this standard means that a business is committed to improving their environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and reduction of waste – in Lakes’ case, this also builds on the success of having achieved Carbon Neutral Plus certification back in 2020.

In addition, Lakes has successfully renewed its ISO 9001 certification – which reaffirms  the company’s focus on delivering the highest standards of quality across its products and services.

Chris Thain, operations director at Lakes Showering Spaces, said: "We’re immensely proud to have achieved ISO 14001 and maintained our ISO 9001 certification. These milestones reflect the hard work and commitment of our entire team. Sustainability and quality are at the heart of everything we do, and these certifications reinforce our dedication to continually improving our operations to benefit both our customers and the environment. The ISO 14001 certification underscores Lakes’ commitment to robust environmental management practices, ensuring we continue to reduce our environmental impact while promoting sustainability across our operations.

“Sustainability and quality are at the heart of everything we do, and these certifications reinforce our dedication to continually improving our operations to benefit both our customers and the environment. These latest accreditations signal Lakes’ ongoing commitment to sustainability and operational excellence. We are determined to continue making strides toward a more sustainable future for the bathroom industry.”
