Fluidmaster and Waterwise unite to tackle leaky loos across the UK

Toilet solutions and water management manufacturer Fluidmaster has been announced as the headline sponsorship partner for Waterwise’s Leaky Loo Challenge, which kicked off this month.

Waterwise’s Leaky Loo Challenge is an educational campaign, which will help to enlighten the public on the subject of leaky toilets. Importantly, the challenge will offer an easy, actionable test to identify leaky loos at home or in businesses.

Waterwise is a not-for-profit organisation which helps communities, businesses and governments to understand the value of water and use it wisely so that we have enough now and in the future. The Fluidmaster x Waterwise collaboration will raise awareness about the significant environmental and financial impact of leaking toilets and empower households across the UK to take action to save water, money and help to diminish negative environmental impacts.

Leaky loos, which can waste up to 400 litres of water per day, are among the most common yet overlooked sources of household water wastage. Through this campaign, Waterwise and Fluidmaster aim to educate homeowners, business owners, tenants, and maintenance managers how to detect and fix leaks, ultimately contributing to water conservation efforts and reducing the amount spent on metered water bills.

Said Chris Mynette, engineering & development manager at Fluidmaster, said: “As a company committed to sustainable water management, partnering with Waterwise is a natural fit. We’re excited to help drive positive change by equipping people with the tools and knowledge to combat water waste, one leaky loo at a time!”
