The Hansgrohe Group, which comprises the Axor and Hansgrohe brands and is based in Schiltach, Germany, has revealed that this year it is celebrating its 120th birthday.
Established in 1901, the company's 120-year history has been marked by impactful collaborations and designs. According to the brand, significant innovations throughout its history include creating the first hand-held shower with multiple spray types, the first wall bar with sliding shower rail and the first pull-out kitchen tap. The companys says that it is now also committed to developing environmentally conscious products that reduce water consumption.
Hansgrohe holds more than 15,000 active property rights and invests heavily in regulation approvals to give specifiers peace of mind when selecting Axor and Hansgrohe ranges. It also has 33 subsidiaries and 22 sales offices supplying more than 140 countries, and has won more than 600 design prizes since 1974.
