Franke products make debut appearance at London Open House Festival
A selection of Franke products made their début at the London Open House Festival on Sunday 14th September in the home of chef and food writer, Judi Rose.
The Festival ran across London from 13th - 21st September. It celebrated and promoted architecture, buildings and neighbourhoods, and gave the public free access to explore historic and modern buildings
Judi Rose was invited to participate and open her home to the public to showcase the design and architectural work she has undertaken to transform her three-storey Victorian House in Acton. Originally built in 1875, the house was split into three flats in the 1970’s. Rose has since turned it back into a single family home, discovering long-hidden Victorian features in the process which have been retained.
The large open plan ground floor opens onto a Mediterranean style garden, and is the location for Judi’s spacious kitchen and cookery school, where she teaches bespoke classes. Franke has collaborated with Judi over many years and her kitchen includes the latest Mythos Water Hub 6-in-1 multifunctional tap, workcentre sink, Mythos oven and combi-microwave, gas on glass hob and Mythos hob extractor.
Rose said: “We were honoured to be asked to participate and counted over 120 visitors in just a few hours on the Sunday afternoon. It was really rewarding to see and talk to so many people who were genuinely interested in the story of our house and how we had balanced historic features with modern convenience in the kitchen and bathroom spaces that were the key focal points.”
