New MD at Coram UK to 'lead next phase of growth and innovation'
Coram UK, the bathroom specialist behind brands including Coram Showers and Impey, has appointed David Gannon as MD as the business enters its next phase of strategic growth and product expansion. Gannon joins the role following 18 months of strategic consultancy with the business, where he worked closely with the senior leadership team, including financial director Mark Dain and head of manufacturing Paul Gatfield, alongside Coram UK’s Dutch parent company, Coram Group.
Headquartered in Ilton, Somerset, with manufacturing facilities in Bridgnorth, Shropshire, Coram UK operates across both the retail and accessible healthcare bathroom sectors. Coram Showers specialises in shower enclosures, bath screens, shower trays and glass solutions, while Impey is recognised as the UK’s leading innovator in level-access and wetroom flooring systems.
Bringing almost 40 years of experience within the bathroom industry, David Gannon said: “It’s a hugely exciting time for Coram UK. Over the next 12 months we are investing more than £1million into new product development across both the Coram Showers and Impey brands, with ambitious plans for growth and market leadership.”
With a strong background in the shower enclosure and glass sector, Gannon is leading a renewed focus on the Coram Showers brand: “For Coram Showers, we have a clear product roadmap focused on reinvigorating our enclosure and glass offer with new British-designed products aimed at the retail and merchant sectors. Our focus is on delivering great specification, excellent value and genuinely easy installation for trade installers - bringing back the core product values that Coram has always been known for.”
Alongside this, Impey will continue to strengthen its position as the market-leading wetroom and level-access specialist, while evolving its design philosophy around inclusive bathrooms and future-proof living.
