InSinkErator launches summer drop-in programme for showrooms
Following the introduction of new food waste weekly recycling schemes earlier this year, InSinkErator has launched a new 30-minute summer drop-in programme designed for kitchen retailers. As the new recycling schemes begin to reshape how households and businesses manage their food waste, many kitchen showrooms are looking for clarity on what these changes mean in practice for their customers. To support them navigating this evolving landscape, InSinkErator is making its team available for specific 30-minute visits running from 1st June until 30th September 2026.
Designed to educate, these informal, low-pressure talks will offer the opportunity to engage directly with the brand’s food waste disposal experts, gaining practical guidance on the changes whilst learning how to position food waste disposers within a product offering, helping to drive confident, informed sales conversations.
Kevin Carr, UK sales director, said: “We wanted to create a way for our team to connect with retailers in a simple and effective manner to discuss the future of food waste management, as it’s such a hot topic this year. Each 30-minute visit will explore the key updates, including the introduction of separate food waste collections for households and businesses, as well as the implications for kitchen design, layout and everyday user behaviour.
“Alongside a clearer understanding of the legislation, showrooms we visit will also learn how to discuss the addition of a food waste disposer with their customers, highlighting where the products can provide a convenient and space-saving complementary option in the kitchen, ideal for those seeking simple, hygienic and practical solutions.”
The awareness of food waste disposers is increasing and InSinkErator has driven the category forward. In 2025, it saw a +21.3% growth in online search year-on-year, whilst across social media the brand generated 7.1m organic social views (a year-on-year increase of +633%).
For retailers, the new drop-ins present a valuable opportunity to stay ahead of changes while unlocking new sales potential in a shifting market.
