Hendel & Hendel adds new rich Bronze finish to portfolio
Hendel & Hendel has expanded its signature finish palette with the introduction of Bronze, a rich, grounded new finish that aims to bring warmth, depth and character to cabinetry, furniture and architectural details.
Developed as a distinctive new tone within the brand’s evolving material palette, Bronze offers kitchen, bedroom and bathroom retailers, designers and manufacturers a warmer alternative to black and a deeper counterpart to brass. Layered with subtle red undertones, it shifts gently with light and surrounding materials, creating a characterful finish that feels warm, tactile and refined.
Each piece is hand-polished to create a soft, mirror-like depth, before being gently aged to achieve a lightly textured surface. A matt bronze lacquer is then applied and carefully cured to help preserve the finish’s richness and tone, ensuring lasting protection while maintaining its natural warmth.
Bronze has been designed to sit comfortably within both contemporary and traditional interior schemes. It can be specified alongside timber, stone, painted cabinetry and mixed metal finishes without requiring every detail in the room to follow the same tone. This makes it particularly effective across kitchens, dressing rooms, boot rooms, bathrooms and bespoke furniture projects where several materials are already in play.
Gareth Hull, design lead at Hendel & Hendel, said: “Bronze is one of those finishes people instinctively understand. It has a familiarity to it, but we wanted our interpretation to feel richer, more refined, and full of character. The subtle red undertones and hand-finished ageing process give it real depth, allowing it to sit beautifully within a wide range of material palettes. It has warmth, depth and brings tactility to a space, working in harmony with the surrounding materials rather than competing with them.”
The launch builds on Hendel & Hendel’s Hardware First philosophy, encouraging kitchen, bedroom and bathroom retailers, designers, architects and manufacturers to consider cabinetry hardware from the earliest stages of the design process. Rather than being treated as a finishing touch, the brand believes hardware is one of the defining details that shapes how a space looks, feels and functions every day.
Hull added: “Choosing a finish isn’t simply about colour, it’s about how it sits within the wider material palette. Bronze was developed to work effortlessly alongside timber, stone, marble and painted cabinetry, giving retailers and designers another way to introduce warmth and depth from the earliest stages of a project. When hardware is considered from the outset, every detail feels more connected.”
Launching from August across a wide selection of Hendel & Hendel collections including best-sellers Greenwich, Callcott and Okus, Bronze joins the brand’s core finish palette with additional collections becoming available throughout the autumn.
