Somerset-based bathroom brand VADO has announced The Hygiene Bank as its charity partner of the year, marketing a new collaboration built on a shared belief that nobody should have to choose between staying clean and meeting other essential needs.

The Hygiene Bank works to tackle hygiene poverty across the UK, ensuring that everyday hygiene products, which are often overlooked as a basic necessity, are accessible to those who need them most. Access to items such as soap, shampoo and toothpaste plays a vital role in supporting people’s health, wellbeing, confidence and dignity.

Audrey Huot, customer experience director at VADO, said: “The connection between bathrooms and hygiene is undeniable, which is why The Hygiene Bank’s mission resonates so strongly with us. This is a truly organic partnership that just makes sense. We believe nobody should have to choose between staying clean and other essential needs, and we’re proud to support the vital work The Hygiene Bank does every day.”

Deputy CEO, Rosemary Ashworth at The Hygiene Bank, said: “Bathrooms are about much more than function. They’re where we start and end our days, care for ourselves and our families, and do the everyday things that help us feel clean and confident. Yet those routines depend on having access to basic hygiene products – something millions of people across the UK are struggling to afford. That’s why our partnership with VADO feels like such a natural fit. We’re delighted to have their support and excited to work together to raise awareness, inspire action and bring more people into our mission to end hygiene poverty.”

Throughout the year, VADO will support The Hygiene Bank through fundraising, product donations and awareness-raising activity, encouraging colleagues, customers and industry partners to get involved.
