Paula Rosa Kitchens, a fixture of the Sussex manufacturing landscape celebrating 80 years this year, has announced a major investment to pivot its business model and directly target the consumer retail market. The investment marks a major strategic expansion for the Lancing-based kitchen manufacturer, shifting from its historic focus as a trade-only supplier to launch a new direct-to-consumer (D2C) proposition.

To support the launch, Paula Rosa Kitchens has developed an interactive kitchen design planning tool along with the ability to directly order kitchens online. Designed with the modern consumer in mind, the integrated approach streamlines the planning process and helps to spark inspiration, allowing homeowners the flexibility to plan themselves with expert support available at every stage.

This venture is further supported by the launch of the company’s newly refurbished West Sussex showroom, where customers can explore the kitchen ranges in person and consult directly with design experts.

Richard Lee, CEO at Paula Rosa Kitchens, pictured, commented: “This substantial investment represents a fundamental evolution for Paula Rosa Kitchens and reflects a real shift in how today’s kitchen customer wants to shop. We recognise there is a clear market need for a more transparent, direct-to-consumer offer that supports a more informed, educated buyer.

“As the kitchen manufacturer behind thousands of homes across the UK, we also bring a level of experience and reassurance that gives our customers confidence to create their dream kitchen, their way. They know they are buying from a business with real manufacturing heritage, price transparency, proven quality, and a deep understanding of what makes a kitchen work in everyday life."

Operating directly from its Lancing Business Park facility allows Paula Rosa Kitchens to eliminate traditional retail overheads. By combining a newly upgraded onsite showroom with online planning tools and home-delivered samples, the business delivers a flexible, modern buying experience. The company says, maintaining this end-to-end control over both manufacturing and the customer journey enables the company to offer factory-direct pricing while supporting the regional economy.
