New Laufen fixing system 'turns wall-hung WC installation into a one-person job'

Laufen has launched PRO X, the 3rd generation of its best-selling PRO collection, with one of the headlines being the new EasyFit 3.0, a top-mounting toilet fixing system that is said to turn wall-hung WC installation into a 'one-person job'.

The companys says that every part of the fix with EasyFit 3.0 is carried out from above. The installer screws the mounting plate to the wall, hooks in the fastening elements to match the hole spacing, slides on the toilet, drops the element into the mounting holes from above and tightens with an Allen key. This represents 5 steps, largely tool-free, with no measuring or adjustment.

The seat and lid fastening allows 7mm of movement in all directions, compensating for natural ceramic tolerances so the finished installation looks properly harmonised. Unlike systems that rely on horizontal brackets, EasyFit 3.0 stops components dropping into the ceramic cavity, and everything can be installed and removed safely, including the nut secured in the basket, which simply pulls back up if needed.

PRO X shares its design language with the wider PRO range, so a PRO A or PRO S installation can be updated with PRO X without redesigning the scheme. Availability is backed by Barwick, the solus distributor for Laufen UK, and Laufen’s own distribution in Ireland.
