Swiss bathroom brand Laufen has announced it will be exhibiting at The Charterhouse during Clerkenwell Design Week, taking place from 19th - 21st May 2026.

The company will focus on 2 defining highlights. The first is the LAUFEN’s E-Kiln, the world’s first electronic tunnel kiln, delivering the first net-zero ceramic production facility. The ceramic products manufactured at LAUFEN’s CO2-free Gmunden plant are Cradle to Cradle Certified® Circularity Bronze. This certification, granted by the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute, is the world’s first and most advanced science-based programme for circular product design.

The E-Kiln is central to Laufen’s net-zero achievement and, what’s more, for specifiers and designers working toward BREEAM, LEED, WELL or ESG targets, it represents a tangible and verifiable commitment. Visitors to Clerkenwell will have a chance to explore the reality of net-zero ceramic production and how it is shaping the future of bathroom manufacturing and design.

The second highlight is VOLTA, the new basin designed in collaboration with Yves Béhar. When creating VOLTA, Béhar was inspired to celebrate both water and the solar energy that fuels the E-Kiln where the basin was made. During Clerkenwell Design Week, visitors will experience how the basin’s organic, sculptural form reimagines the movement of water. Created from Laufen’s pioneering SaphirKeramik, which is ultra-thin yet remarkably durable, it is set to launch later in 2026.
